Coastal protection facilities
To protect the safety of general publics, farms and villages, and also protect coastal from erosion by tide wave and solve the problem of landslide along the coastal regions, dealing with seawall rebuild and maintenance, there are total of 22 sec of seawall along the Changhwa county coast, total of 86259 m (including seawall of 73652 m, tide wave prevention of 12607 m).
River protection facilities
- Choshui River: the dam situated at Yunlin county has total length o f 54326 m, dam in Changhwa county has 44421 m, coastal protection of 3298 m, dam in Nan-tou county has 38068 m, with coastal protection of 15276 m, dam in total has 136815 m with 18574 m of coastal protection.
- Chin-Shui river: the dam situated at Yunlin county has 766 m, with coastal protection of 900 m, in Nan-tou county it has dam of 12326 m, and coastal protection of 10779 m, in total the dam has 13092 m, the coastal protection is 11499 m.
- Chai-JouLiao River: it is situated at Nan-tou county, with total dam of 1100 m, coastal protection of 660 m.
- Chenyulan River: it is situated at Nan-tou county, with total dam of 4379 m, coastal protection of 1630 m.
- Chunkeng River: it is situated at Nan-tou county, with total dam of 4379 m, coastal protection of 1630 m.
- DongPuna river: it is situated at Nan-tou county, with total dam of 3116 m, coastal protection of 2918 m
- NanChin-ShuiGou River: it is situated at Nan-tou county, with total dam of 6148 m, coastal protection of 3338 m.
- Shueili river: it is situated at Nan-tou county, with total dam of 962 m, coastal protection of 2801 m.
