Elementary school students teach adults the Zhuoshui River from their perspectives
The Fourth River Management Office held the "2022 Flood Control and Water Protection Volunteer Education and Training" at the International Conference Hall of Mingdao University on June 28. In response to the COVID-19, it was handled both in physical and online meeting with 120 attendances.
Eight elementary school students from Shuiwei Elementary School in Xizhou Township, Changhua County, led the volunteers to see the Zhuoshui River from their perspectives.
Shuiwei Elementary School teacher Wu Jianru, Lin Bishan and 8 sixth-grade students devoted a year and a half to the self-directed and self-edited documentary "Rolling of the Zhuoshui Stream". In this documentary, teachers and students travelled from the mouth of the Zhuoshui River to the birthplace of Taluowan Stream in Renai Township. They recorded the water, soil, forest, sea, geology, agricultural products, culture, landscape, disasters, etc. of Zhuoshui River by drone photography to have a bird's-eye view.
In the afternoon, Dr. Hong Wujue from the National Taiwan University Climate and Weather Disaster Research Center gave an on-site instruction on the operation of the "Flood Control and Water Protection Helper" Line robot to help the volunteers learn how to use it.
This training is the first time to combine physical and online meeting. Not only the volunteers on site learned it well, but also the volunteers online also learned it well. The veil from the upstream to the downstream of the Zhuoshui River was uncovered, and the skills and knowledge were enriched.
國小學生教大人，小孩看見的濁水溪
第四河川局於6月28日假明道大學國際會議廳辦理「111年防汛護水志工教育訓練」，因應疫情採實體及線上方式辦理，合計約120人參加。
上午課程嘗試以創新方式教學，由彰化縣溪州鄉水尾國小8名小學生帶領志工走讀濁水溪，讓志工從小孩的角度看濁水溪，全新的面向增加志工對濁水溪之認識。
水尾國小吳建儒老師、林碧珊老師及8位六年級學生，投入1年半自導自拍自編的「濁水溪滾滾流」紀錄片，這部紀錄片係師生利用假日自濁水溪出海口往上游走讀到仁愛鄉塔羅灣溪發源地，以無人機空拍鳥瞰濁水溪，記錄了濁水溪的水土林海、地質、農產、文化、地景、災害問題等等，內容包羅萬象，拍出了濁水溪母親河的美麗與哀愁，紀錄片幕後花絮《逆流順風》https://youtu.be/iDdTNA0BFss。過程中還搭配由學生自行組裝、設計的空拍機show，驚豔全場。由志工與學生進行跨世代的對話，互相交流眼中的濁水溪，結束後讓現場及線上觀賞的志工大呼過癮，對水尾國小的小孩子刮目相看，格外讚賞！
下午則由臺灣大學氣候天氣災害研究中心洪五爵博士現場進行「防汛護水小幫手」Line機器人操作說明，並協助在現場教學讓志工可以快速學會使用方式，提升防汛護水志工通報資訊化的能力。最後則由泉溢電機的徐濟榮副總講解大型抽水機的基本知識及故障排除，定位抽水機在颱風豪雨時期扮演腳色，讓志工親自學習如何操作抽水機，大幅增加志工對於防汛工具之認知。
李友平局長說，本次訓練首次嘗試線上及實體並行方式進行，不僅現場參與的志工習得巧，線上學習的志工亦學的妙，揭開濁水溪上游到下游的面紗，充實技能及知識，也為今年的汛期工作做好了準備。
